Only a few heaps and patches of snow remain. I don't think Friday's newspaper got delivered after all, unless it's under the last heap of snow at the end of the driveway. Most likely the tire depressions in the snow Friday afternoon were made by someone other than the paper guy turning around. So no paper Friday or Saturday, and today's paper was sopping wet from the steady rain that fell all morning. Maybe I should just subscribe to an online edition. I'd miss the paper just as often, due to the frequent power outages we get here rendering my computer useless, but at least my monitor wouldn't be turning into wet pulp the way the newspaper does.
Bop! I stumbled upon this YouTube video featuring a 1946 recording of Gershwin's Lady Be Good made as part of Norman Granz's Jazz at the Philharmonic series. There are solos by Charlie Parker and Lester Young.
