Furbelows

Cat fur everywhere. If Portia would pick one spot and stay in it, the hair would be easier to clean up, but she moves from place to place, leaving little tufts behind each time. It's a wonder that cat hasn't gone bald. If I'd saved all the hair she's shed in the last year I could knit a sweater from it. A big sweater.

No snow has fallen so far, but we've had quite a bit of rain. Tomorrow is the most likely day for snow. There could be as much as four inches at this elevation. As long as the power doesn't go out, I'm fine with that. I have nowhere to go, anyway, so I won't have to get out in it, and I've pretty much resigned myself to the loss of the peach tree's crop this year.

Now to shower before the house gets any colder. I got the power bill today and turned the thermostat down as soon as I saw it.
