That Was 1/11/11

Portia keeps trying to groom my hoodie. Worse, she does it while I'm wearing it. It's quite disconcerting to have a cat suddenly start licking one's garb. She must think it's my fur, but if she thinks that then she must also think she's the dominant partner in the relationship. The dominant cat always grooms the other. When she starts biting my neck the way mother cats bite their kittens, necks, I'll have to put a stop to it. She'll be going outside and Alger and Farah can move into the house. Then the worst thing that will happen is that Farah will chew my pant legs to shreds while I sleep.

In cold front news, I've just about stopped sneezing, but now my nose is stopped up. I've dribbled several times while drinking water because its coldness has made me inhale with shock and I have no nose to inhale through. If I try to inhale through a mouth full of water I'll choke, so I have to let the water run out. Maybe if that happened while Portia was grooming my hoodie she'd get soaked and give up her fantasy of dominance. But so far all I've soaked is myself, some upholstery, and a patch of carpet or two. I hate colds.
