Sunday is to be the first day this year to reach 90 degrees here. It might be the first day that the jasmine blossoms open, too. This evening I noticed several that looked as though they were about to open. It's about time. Jasmine is a summer essential, just like casaba. In fact there are casabas in the stores now, but they don't look too good yet, and they are still rather expensive. I'm hoping that I'll find a ripe one at a reasonable price for the solstice, which is June 21 this year. Eating casaba while the jasmine scents the night air is the perfect way to begin summer.

Also, in a little over two weeks it will be my ninth LJ anniversary. Maybe I'll do something special for it, like write an entry of more than two paragraphs. Or maybe I shouldn't get carried away.

June 28 is my journalversary. I'd have started my journal a couple of months earlier, but I waited until Sluggo got an upgrade (because before he was just awful, he was unspeakably awful— which he became again later.)

Your economy of words is one of the things that make your journal one of my favorites. I'm not saying I woldn't like it if you wrote a long post, I'm just saying that your brevity is something that I admire.
