The rain that failed to come yesterday finally arrived today. A new leak in the roof came with it. It's in the garage this time, which is a bit worrying as I have boxes of books and other goods that wouldn't like being wet stored there. House is falling apart.
Cat news. Alger has apparently decided to claim my shoes as part of his territory. Every time I go out now he rubs his face on them. When I come back in, Portia sniffs the markings he's left. I don't think she's pleased. She'll be even less pleased if he manages to get into the house while she's indoors. He keeps peering through the door when I o pen it to go in or out, and I expect him to eventually make a dash inside before I can close it. I actually woke up before four o'clock this afternoon, but all I saw was rain. There wasn't even a proper sunset. February is being as annoying as January was.
