Still Pissed at July

The low seventies would be a very pleasant night time temperature if I could stay outdoors. The problem is that the house doesn't cool off all night, even with all the windows open and a fan on, so the heat has a head start on making it a very uncomfortable place to be the next day. It's also rather disturbing that dogs nearby have taken to frequently howling at night, and having the windows open I can hear each outburst. It makes me wonder what they've got to howl about. Maybe they hate the heat as much as I do.

Ointments and ice for shoulder and neck. At the moment I'd consider a neckectomy if such a thing were possible.
