I still say he was eaten by a bear.
Speaking of being eaten by Argentine bears.
It's way too hot today, and will probably stay that way for a long time. The sourgrass is rapidly wilting and turning brown, and without irrigation the jasmine blossoms will soon be gone. There's not a cloud in sight, even in their usual gathering place above the mountains. All I can do is wait for the evening breezes to arrive, and be thankful I'm not down in the valley, and that no clouds means no lightning and thus a diminished chance of fire. But I get the feeling it's going to be along summer.
