There are now a dozen poppies blooming in the back yard, and about a thousand foxtails sprouting. I'd prefer it to be the other way around. It's goood thing foxtails are easily uprooted when young. Even at that, it's going to take many hours to pull them up. It must be done soon, though, as heat is on the way. By the end of the week, it will be positively sultry. And me without an aloha shirt!
