Still They Come

Well, cat number 5 showed up early this morning. It's an orange kitty. I spotted him through the window and he stared at me for a moment, then ran off. This one is very skittish. I don't know if he'll be back. He might be suspicious of a place where scary faces suddenly appear at windows.

Gray cat and white faced cat were both on the back porch at once just a while ago. As they didn't fight, I let them split another can of soft food. They glared at one another while they ate, but gray cat finished first and departed unscathed, while white faced cat went to check gray cat's bowl and lick the last bit of juice from it.

It's a good thing I had that can available. So many kitties have been eating that I've run out of dry cat food. Should have bought some when I was out the other day.

The day was chilly and partly cloudy, with a stiff breeze shredding dead blossoms from the oak trees. They probably still have some pollen in them. I was sneezing frequently, and feel achy. That might be more the result of the continuing mulberry pollen, though. The pines have yet to spooge.

The sun will be back unobscured by clouds day after tomorrow. Then it will get into the middle seventies— downright sultry for the middle of April. Avaunt, summer!
