Springy

Tomorrow's predicted rain (it's been put off a day) is now also predicted to produce thunderstorms. As long as it gets really wet, I can deal with the lightning, and thunder I actually find rather enjoyable. Lighting without rain we can do without, thanks. This will be winter's last rain, and if it continues Monday, spring's first as well. Over the last few days the oaks have begun putting out their new crop of soft, pale green leaves.

This evening I sat breathing the cool air and listening to an acorn woodpecker chatter while dusk fell. Approaching midnight, I still have my window wide open. The night is full of the sound of frogs croaking. They make me happy.
