More Bits

I went out and startled a deer in my neighbor's back yard. I didn't see it, but heard it run and leap back over the chain link fence. My unintentional intrusion probably saved a bit of my neighbor's landscape, but I'd rather not have scared the deer away. They don't come around very often anymore.

Totally unrelated: The other night I fell asleep with the television on and woke up just as Joan Blondell was singing the last few bars of "Forgotten Man" in "Gold Diggers of 1933." Now I've got it as an earworm. Stupid marches.

It was partly cloudy all afternoon, but no rain yet. Chances for rain on Thursday have risen to 80%, though, and some chance of rain is now predicted through Monday, with Saturday excepted. Want wet.

Interesting: Ustream Zoo has live webcams with kitties, dogs, fish, hamsters, birds, and other beasts. Some are pretty good, others quite dull. There are some slide shows among them, too. Some streaming cams apparently shut down part of the time and just display still photos. Many of them that are streaming are kind of quiet at night, but it's daytime somewhere in the world all the time. Click around till you find something happening. Ustream has non-beastly cams, too, but I prefer the animals.

Whoa. Another flock of geese flying over. They're in for a surprise tomorrow.
