No sooner than I opened the windows this evening than I got a whiff of smoke. Not the good kind (although given the number of fields in the forests, there's probably a bit of the good kind mixed in), but the nasty smelling stuff from the lightning fire that is still only 90% contained! No telling how long before it's out and we can have clean air every night. Breathing would be nice, on those occasions when I have time to catch a breath. The elders are requiring a lot more looking after since undergoing the strain of the last couple of weeks. For some reason I'm requiring more sleep, too. I'll bet there is some of the good stuff in that smoke!
