Oh

A long, loud roll of thunder woke me up. The room was cold so I stayed in bed for several minutes waiting for more thunder. None came, and I finally got up. The sky was gray but the ground was only wet in patches, where it hadn't yet dried from yesterday's storm. This turned out to be a tease of a day, promising rain and delivering none. At least the clouds began thinning out a bit in late afternoon so there was a colorful sunset. A real storm would be nice, though.

Improve Everywhere has a YouTube page. I haven't seen most of their stuff, but I did enjoy the Frozen Grand Central video. The Food Court Musical they recently did in L.A. is interesting, too, but they're stretching the definition of improv awfully thin when they start doing bits with obviously pre-written lyrics.

The "For Sale" sign in front of the house next door has been taken down, but not taken away. It's leaning against the house's side wall. I don't know what this means. Usually, when a house sells the Realtor will stick a "Sold" sign atop the "For Sale" sign. Could it be the place has been taken off the market? Yesterday afternoon I saw a guy with two kids who looked about 13-15 inspect the place. He had one of those extended cab pickup trucks, but didn't look prosperous enough to be a buyer. Maybe the house is going to be rented out until the market gets better. Or the guy might have been hired to do some sort of renovation to make the property more salable. I would not be looking forward to either a couple of noisy kids living there, or day after day of construction racket. Rats.

Oh, Saturday.
