I'm not the only one taking refuge in the house. The ants are back, and every time I go to the kitchen I have to slaughter a few more. The place is becoming a formicid charnal house. Thought I bear the small beasts no particular ill will, there's no way I'm letting them munch my cookies. If they'd confine their incursions to parts of the place I don't use, I'd ignore them, but they insist on tracking their acidy feet all over the place. It is their undoing, and I show no mercy. It's messy and tedious, though. I might try spreading some cinnamon about. I don't know if it will really work, but I'm ready to try anything non-poisonous to non-ants.
