Caught Up

This time the clouds departed without leaving us any rain. At least the mugginess they caused instead of rain is going with them, and the night is cooling nicely. I couldn't wait to get out of the stuffy house once the sun set, and I ended up sitting outside and listening to the cricket (only one was distinctly audible) for over an hour. Were it not for the various tasks that need doing in the house, I'd be there still. The cricket continues to chirp. Unlike me, it has all night to do as it pleases.
