I think the kitty is becoming annoyed by the fact that her world has been wet for several days now. She can't find a dry spot to dig a hole in. Being in possession of an indoor flush toilet myself, I'm not particularly bothered by the wet. In fact, I'm enjoying the wet, especially since I don't have to get out in it when it's actually raining. Tonight it's very enjoyable because the clouds have dropped lower and lower until they have become a misty fog, muting all the Christmas lights and lending the commonplace street an air of mystery. It's all delightfully noir, and I wouldn't mind taking a long walk if I could get away from the house for a while.

The only problem is that here we are in the middle of December and the air has reverted to Octoberish temperatures. It's gone back to being too warm for me to be able to open the windows and get the room down to a temperature at which I can fire up Sluggo. At this rate, I'm never going to get the in-box of my Juno account cleaned out, and more mail is doubtless piling up, waiting to be downloaded. Maybe once this weather system has passed through we'll get a couple of icy nights more suited to December and to operating a cranky computer that needs to chill.

Also, it has been officially revealed that the new LJ update page has a rich text editor. I'd never have known, since it doesn't work with my older version of Opera. I really ought to get that updated. Of course, doing so would not guarantee that I'd be able to use the rich text editor. LJ has been chronically Opera-unfriendly, and some of its features still might not work even with the latest versions of the browser.

Bath time.
